Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and account credentials.

Identity Verification (Drivers): Government-issued ID, driver's license, vehicle registration, insurance documents, and profile photos for background verification purposes.

Location Data: Real-time GPS location while the app is in use; trip origin and destination addresses stored for trip records.

Transaction Data: Payment method details (stored securely by our payment processor), trip history, fare amounts, and subscription billing records.

Device Information: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, IP address, and crash logs.

Usage Data: Pages and features accessed, time spent in-app, and interaction logs used for improving user experience.

Communications: In-app messages, support tickets, and reviews you submit.

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and its features.
• Match Riders with available Drivers based on location and preferences.
• Process payments and manage subscription billing.
• Verify user identities and conduct background checks on Drivers.
• Send transactional notifications (trip confirmations, receipts, status updates).
• Investigate and resolve disputes, safety incidents, and fraud.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to law enforcement requests.

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

Between Riders and Drivers: When a ride is matched, Riders receive the Driver's name, photo, vehicle details, and real-time location. Drivers receive the Rider's name, photo, pickup location, and destination.

Service Providers: We share data with third-party vendors who help us operate the Platform, including payment processors (Stripe), cloud hosting providers, analytics services, and background check companies. These vendors are contractually bound to protect your data.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

With Your Consent: We may share your data for purposes not described here with your explicit consent.

Location data is core to how Altralo works. We collect:

• Foreground location: When you actively use the app to book or provide rides.
• Background location (Drivers): While Drivers are online and accepting rides. This can be disabled by going offline in the app.
• Trip routes: Stored for safety, dispute resolution, and improving routing accuracy.

You can revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings, though doing so will prevent core app functionality from working.

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations:

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, strict access controls, regular security audits, and intrusion detection systems. Payment card data is never stored on our servers — it is handled directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately.

On our web platform, we use cookies and similar technologies for session management, fraud prevention, analytics, and improving your experience. We use:

Altralo operates primarily in the United States. If you use the Platform from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your country. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer. We implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
